How to play Tango
Fill every cell with a sun or a moon. Tap an empty cell once for a sun, twice for a moon, three times to clear it. Shaded cells are given and can't be changed.
- Balance: every row and every column has the same number of suns and moons (3 and 3 on a 6×6 grid).
- No three in a row: never three suns or three moons next to each other, across or down.
- Signs: cells joined by = are the same; cells joined by × are opposite.
How to solve Tango puzzles
- PairsTwo suns side by side? The cells on both ends must be moons.
- SandwichesSun, gap, sun: the gap must be a moon.
- SignsOnce one side of an = or × is known, the other follows at once.
- CountingA row with three suns already? Every other cell in it is a moon.
- What ifOn hard grids, try a symbol in one cell: if it breaks a rule, the opposite is right.

FAQ
Is this the LinkedIn Tango game?
No. Solvedle is independent and not affiliated with LinkedIn. The puzzles use the same rules as LinkedIn's Tango: fill the grid with suns and moons, equal numbers in every row and column, never three alike in a row, and respect the = and × signs.
Can I play Tango unlimited?
Yes. Press New for another puzzle as often as you like: classic 6×6 or bigger 8×8 grids, from easy to hard. Puzzles you have solved are skipped first.
What do the = and × signs mean?
An = between two cells means they hold the same symbol. A × means they hold opposite symbols: one sun and one moon.
Is this the same as Takuzu or Binairo?
Almost. Takuzu (also called Binairo or binary puzzle) uses the same balance and no-three-in-a-row rules with 0s and 1s. Tango-style puzzles add the = and × signs, and don't require every row to be different.
Do I ever need to guess?
No. Every puzzle has exactly one solution, checked by an exhaustive solver, and our grader confirms it can be solved by logic alone. Hard puzzles may need a short "what if" check on a single cell.
