How to play Zip
Draw one path that visits every cell exactly once. Start on 1, move up, down, left or right, and pass through the numbers in order. The path ends on the highest number.
- Every cell: the path fills the whole grid, with no gaps and no cell visited twice.
- In order: you reach 2 before 3, 3 before 4, and so on. You can't step onto a number out of turn.
- No diagonals: each step goes to a cell that shares a side.
How to solve Zip puzzles
- CornersA corner cell has only two neighbours, so the path must enter through one and leave through the other, unless the corner is 1 or the last number.
- Dead endsNever leave an empty cell with only one free neighbour. Only the final number can be a dead end.
- Count the gapBetween two numbers, count the cells the path must cover. A short gap forces a direct route; a long one has to wind.
- Don't cut the boardIf a move splits the empty cells into two areas, the path can't come back for the far one.
- Edges firstCells along the border have fewer options, so they usually settle before the middle.

Choose a size and difficulty, then press New for another puzzle. The library holds 540 original puzzles, 60 for each size and level. Every puzzle has exactly one path, checked by an exhaustive solver. Difficulty is measured by how much searching that solver needs to prove the path unique, and numbers are added back until each puzzle sits inside its level.

FAQ
Is this the LinkedIn Zip game?
No. Solvedle is independent and not affiliated with LinkedIn. The puzzles use the same idea as LinkedIn's Zip: draw one path that fills every cell and passes the numbers in order. Solvedle generates its own puzzles and does not use walls.
Can I play Zip unlimited?
Yes. Press New for another puzzle as often as you like, on 6×6, 7×7 or 8×8 grids from easy to hard. Puzzles you have solved are offered last.
How do I draw the path?
Press on 1 and drag through neighbouring cells, or tap cells one at a time. Drag back over the path to undo, or press any cell on the path to cut it back to that point.
Does every Zip puzzle have one solution?
Yes. An exhaustive solver checks every puzzle and keeps it only if exactly one path fills the grid and passes the numbers in order.
What makes a Zip puzzle hard?
Fewer numbers. Easy puzzles have many numbers, so most moves are forced. Hard puzzles keep only a few, so you need to plan around corners and edges before you commit.
